These 840 grades of sheet and plates are ideal for the heat affected region as well as in harsh environmental conditions. The plates having good weldability that no cracking arises at the time of bending. However, these comprise superior tensile strength and hardness. furthermore, heat treatment of these plates is done through water cooling and solution treatment.

Incoloy Alloy 840 Introduction
Incoloy alloy 840 is a high temperature alloy designed for exceptional performance in extreme environments. Engineers classify it as an austenitic stainless steel, but its unique blend of nickel, chromium, and iron sets it apart from standard stainless steels. The alloy’s composition includes significant amounts of nickel (19–22%) and chromium (19.5–21%), with smaller additions of titanium, silicon, manganese, and carbon.
