316 Stainless Steel Introduction:Grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics. It is readily brake or roll formed into a variety of parts for applications in the industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. Grade 316 also has outstanding welding characteristics. Post-weld annealing is not required when welding thin sections.Grade 316L, the low carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitisation (grain boundary carbide precipitation). Thus it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components (over about 6mm). Grade 316H, with its higher carbon content has application at elevated temperatures, as does stabilised grade 316Ti.The austenitic structure also gives these grades excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.316 Stainless Steel Applications:Food preparation equipment particularly in chloride environments.Laboratory benches & equipment.Coastal architectural panelling, railings & trim.Boat fittings.Chemical containers, including for transport.Heat Exchangers.Woven or welded screens for mining, quarrying & water filtration.Threaded fasteners.Springs.
316 Stainless Steel Welding O-Ring Introduction:
Welding O-rings are core components in industrial applications, ensuring reliable sealing and component connections. They are primarily made of 304 and 316 stainless steel, but can also be made of aluminum, copper, alloys, and other materials to meet specific requirements. Processed using precision welding techniques such as argon arc welding, resistance welding, and laser welding, the welds are smooth, burr-free, and structurally robust. They possess excellent pressure resistance, high temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance, enabling them to withstand harsh working environments including high temperature and pressure, strong corrosion, and high vacuum. They effectively prevent fluid and gas leakage, reduce frictional wear between components, and extend the overall service life of equipment. This product supports multiple customization options to suit various installation and usage needs. It is widely used in static and dynamic sealing applications across industries such as machinery manufacturing, petrochemicals, metallurgy, and aerospace. Having undergone rigorous testing and certification for high-pressure leak-free operation, it boasts stable quality and excellent sealing performance, making it a crucial foundational component for ensuring sealing effectiveness and operational efficiency in industrial equipment.
