Stainless steel tees are pipe fittings used at pipe branches. For tees manufactured using seamless pipes, two common processes are hydraulic bulging and hot pressing. Hydraulic bulging of stainless steel tees is a forming process that uses axial compensation of the metal material to bulge out the branch pipe. The process involves using a specialized hydraulic press to inject liquid into a pipe blank with the same diameter as the tee. Two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press move synchronously to compress the pipe blank. As the pipe blank is compressed, its volume decreases, and the pressure of the liquid inside increases. 1. Raw Material Preparation:Select qualified steel pipes/round bars,inspect chemical composition & mechanical properties.
2.Cutting: Cut raw materials into fixed-length blanks by sawing/cutting machine.
3.Heating:Heat blanks to 900-110o°C in heating furnace for plastic forming.
5.Trimming: Remove flash,burrs and excess material from formed elbows.
6. Heat Treatment: Quench + temper to improve hardness,toughness and corosion resistance.
7. Machining: Process end faces,inner/outer diameters to meet dimensional accuracy.
