1. Raw Material Preparation: Selection of materials—seamless pipes and plates made of carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy steel that meet standard requirements. Material inspection—verification of chemical composition, mechanical properties, and dimensional tolerances.

2. Forming Process: Depending on the tee's specifications and material, the following forming methods are primarily used: Hydraulic Bulging—placing a pipe with the same diameter as the main run into a mold and expanding the branch outlet using high-pressure internal fluid. Hot Press Forming—using a pipe blank sized for the largest tee dimension, heating it, and pressing out the branch outlet; suitable for products with large wall thicknesses and large diameters. Cold Extrusion/Cold Drawing—forming the branch outlet via inflation or cold drawing/pushing for small-diameter, thin-walled tees.

3. Heat Treatment: Stress relief—annealing or normalizing to eliminate internal stresses resulting from the forming process. Property adjustment—refining the metal microstructure and restoring or optimizing the material's comprehensive mechanical properties.

4. Machining: Beveling—turning the ends of the main run and branch outlet to create butt-weld bevels that meet welding specifications. Dimensional finishing—turning or grinding the outer and inner diameters to ensure uniform wall thickness and dimensional accuracy.

5. Inspection: Non-destructive testing (NDT)—performing Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), or Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) to detect cracks or porosity. Pressure and visual inspection—conducting hydrostatic testing to verify pressure-bearing capacity, and checking geometric dimensions and surface quality.
