Product Description
Alloy C276 is a solid solution strengthened nickelmolybdenumchromium alloy with a small amount of tungsten. Alloy C276 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of harsh environments and media. Like many other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easily formed and welded. This alloy is used in most industrial settings where aggressive chemical environments are present and other alloys have failed. HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosionresistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance. Alloy C276 is frequently used in many industries, including chemical and petrochemical processing, oil and gas, power generation, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper production and waste water treatment. End use applications include stack liners, ducts, dampers, scrubbers, stack gas reheaters, heat exchangers, reaction vessels, evaporators, transfer piping and many other highly corrosive applications.
In piping systems, blinds (or line blinds), spades, and spacers are used for flow control and isolation, particularly during maintenance or when a section of pipe needs to be blocked off. Spectacle blinds combine a solid "blind" (or "spade") and a ring spacer into one unit, offering a versatile solution for both flow control and isolation.
