Grade 904L stainless steel is a non-stabilized austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. This high alloy stainless
steel is added with copper to improve its resistance to strong reducing acids, such as sulphuric acid. The steel is also resistant to stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion. Grade 904L is non-magnetic, and offers excellent formability, toughness and weldability.Grade 904L contains high amounts of expensive ingredients, such as molybdenum and nickel. Today, most of the applications that employ grade 904L are replaced by low-cost duplex stainless steel 2205.
A threaded pipe cap refers to a pipe fitting that is connected to the end of a pipe by threads or is placed on the external threads of the pipe end to cover and seal the pipe. Function: Mainly used for sealing pipelines to prevent leakage of the medium or entry of external impurities. It has the same function as a pipe plug, but the threaded connection method makes it convenient for disassembly and replacement, suitable for maintenance-intensive scenarios. Pressure ratings include 2000LB, 3000LB, 6000LB, etc.Thread types: Include NPT, Rc, BSP, G, PT and other types to adapt to different pipeline systems and connection requirements.Manufacturing process: Generally undergoes processes such as feeding, re-inspection, cutting, heating, forging, heat treatment, edge cutting, shot blasting, drilling, machining, marking, inspection, packing, and shipping.Application fields: Widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, medicine, power, aerospace, military, fire protection, metallurgy, shipbuilding, gas, nuclear power, urban construction, plumbing, environmental protection, etc.
