Product Description
ASTM A182 F51 equates to UNS S31803. This was the original caption for a 22% Cr duplex stainless steel. However, as explained in an earlier article, manufacturers optimized the composition towards the top end of the limits to improve pitting corrosion resistance. This grade, with a tighter specification, is captioned as F60, equating to UNS S32205. Consequently, S32205 can be dual-certified as S31803, but not vice-versa. It accounts for around 80% of overall duplex stainless steel production. Langley Alloys stocks Alloy 2205+, which is Altima's proprietary product that provides enhanced machinability as standard’. Our stock range goes from ½” up to 450mm diameter solid bars, plus hollow bars and plates too.
The 90°&45°thread elbow is a fitting used for high-pressure pipeline connections, belonging to the forged series pipe fittings. It is mainly used at pipeline bends and features high strength and sealing performance. It is applicable in manufacturing processes for fields such as petrochemicals, medicine and health, power, aerospace, military industry, fire protection, metallurgy, shipbuilding, gas, nuclear power, and environmental protection. Forming method: The blank is formed by die forging from round steel or steel ingot, and then processed by a lathe. Process flow: After heating the blank, it is placed in the mold for forging. The pressure causes the metal to flow and fill the mold cavity; if there are flash edges on the forged blank, a step of removing the flash edges will be carried out to complete the entire forging process. Performance features .High strength: Capable of withstanding high pressure and suitable for high-pressure pipeline systems.Good sealing performance: The socket-welding method ensures reliable sealing at the connection points Corrosion resistance: The material includes carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy stee, with excellent corrosion resistance.
