Product Description

ASTM A182 F51 equates to UNS S31803. This was the original caption for a 22% Cr duplex stainless steel. However, as explained in an earlier article, manufacturers optimized the composition towards the top end of the limits to improve pitting corrosion resistance. This grade, with a tighter specification, is captioned as F60, equating to UNS S32205. Consequently, S32205 can be dual-certified as S31803, but not vice-versa. It accounts for around 80% of overall duplex stainless steel production. Langley Alloys stocks Alloy 2205+, which is Altima's proprietary product that provides enhanced machinability as standard’. Hexagon internal and external thread adapter. Core features: It has a standard hexagonal head. One end of the adapter body is an internal thread (hole thread), and the other end is an external thread (shaft thread), which can directly achieve the conversion of pipes/components with different thread specifications or types. Key advantages: The hexagonal head is convenient to operate with common tools such as wrenches and pipe wrenches, with high torque transmission efficiency, easy installation and disassembly, and strong connection tightness. Typical applications: Widely used in water supply and drainage, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, gas pipeline systems, as well as interfaces of pumps, valves, instruments and other equipment. It is especially suitable for scenarios with ample space, frequent maintenance requirements, or high connection strength requirements.Headless internal and external thread adapter. Core features: It has no protruding head and is generally cylindrical or flat in shape. Only the two ends are respectively processed with internal and external threads. Some designs reserve an internal hexagonal hole (for tool operation). Key advantages: Compact structure, smooth surface after installation, no additional space occupation, and can avoid interference with the operation of surrounding components due to the protruding head. Typical applications: Suitable for internal mechanical equipment, precision instruments, molds, and other occasions with strict space size requirements or the need to maintain a smooth surface without protrusions, such as small fluid control modules and internal pipe connections of electronic devices.
