Product Description
Grade 904L stainless steel is a non-stabilized austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. This high alloy stainless steel is added with copper to improve its resistance to strong reducing acids, such as sulphonic acid. The steel is also resistant to stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion. Grade 904L is non-magnetic, and offers excellent formability, toughness and weldability. Grade 904L contains high amounts of expensive ingredients, such as molybdenum and nickel. Today, most of the applications that employ grade 904L are replaced by low-cost duplex stainless steel 2205.
The Spectacle Blind Flange is a commonly used pipeline sealing device. Structural features: The Spectacle Blind Flange consists of two discs, one is a solid disc and the other is a hollow disc. They are connected by a flange and screws. The solid disc is used to cut off the pipeline, while the hollow disc is used to maintain the pipeline's continuity. Working principle: During normal operation, the hollow disc is connected to the pipeline, allowing the fluid to pass through. When it is necessary to cut off the pipeline, rotate the 8-shaped blind plate to position the solid disc in the working position, thereby achieving sealing and cutting off the fluid passage. Material selection: Its materials are diverse, including carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc. Carbon steel is suitable for ordinary environments, stainless steel is suitable for corrosive media, and titanium is suitable for high-temperature or highly corrosive environments. Main function: It is mainly used for isolation. When it is necessary to cut off the fluid flow or perform maintenance operations, installing the Spectacle Blind Flange can achieve isolation of the pipeline or equipment interior, ensuring safe operation. Additionally, it can also be used for water pressure or air tightness tests of pipeline systems. Application scenarios: Widely used in industries such as chemical, petroleum, food, and medicine, often used in the startup and standby pipelines of heat exchangers, reactors, as well as nitrogen pipelines and process pipelines where reliable isolation is required at connection points.
