Monel 400 Introduction
Monel 400 alloy (UNS N04400/MCu-28-1.5-1.8/Ni68Cu28Fe) is a nickel-based alloy, primarily composed of nickel-copper alloy, with a melting point of 1300-1350°C. It exhibits good corrosion resistance in corrosive media such as seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. This alloy demonstrates stable mechanical properties and is suitable for working environments ranging from low to high temperatures. Welding can be performed using TIG, MIG, and manual arc welding, matched with Monel body material or EniCu-7welding consumables. This alloy is mainly used in the manufacture of heat exchange equipment, chemical pipelines, reaction vessels, and other devices, conforming to standards including ASTM B 164 (bars) and ASTM B 127 (plates). During machining,shrinkage allowance must be allowed to ensure dimensional accuracy. This can be achieved through traditional machining methods; however, high-speed machining requires the use of water coolant.Steel Socket Welding Tee Introduction
A socket weld tee is a forged pipe fitting with three openings arranged at 90° angles, allowing fluid or gas to transfer along a vertical branch. Its defining feature is the machined countersunk holes (“sleeves”) at all three ends. During installation, the pipe is inserted into these sockets, leaving a noticeable 1/16-inch gap between the pipe end and the socket shoulder to accommodate thermal expansion. 1. Raw Material Preparation and Inspection - Select qualified seamless steel pipes or steel billets that meet the standard
requirements as raw materials - Conduct chemical composition analysis and mechanical property testing on raw materials to ensure they comply with the product specifications
3. Socket Weld End Machining - Fix the formed tee blank on a CNC machining center - Machine the socket weld ends of the three openings according to the design dimensions, including processing the socket depth, inner diameter and sealing surface

2. Hot Forming - Heat the raw materials to the specified temperature in a heating furnace - Use a special mold to perform extrusion or stamping forming on the heated blank to preliminarily shape the tee structure

4. Heat Treatment - Put the machined tee into a heat treatment furnace - Carry out normalizing or annealing treatment according to the material type to eliminate the internal stress generated during forming and machining, and improve the mechanical properties of the product
5. Precision Machining of Outer Surface and Ports - Perform finish machining on the outer surface of the tee to ensure
the overall dimensional tolerance and surface roughness - Trim the edge of each port to remove burrs and sharp edges

6.Non-destructive Testing - Conduct ultrasonic testing (UT) to check for internal defects such as cracks and inclusions in the tee -Perform liquid penetrant testing (PT) on the surface of the socket weld ends and other key parts to detect surface defects
7.Cleaning and Anti-corrosion Treatment - Clean the inner and outer surfaces of the qualified tee with a cleaning agent to remove oil stains, iron filings and other impurities - Carry out anti-corrosion treatment such as pickling, phosphating or spraying anti-rust oil according to customer requirements
8. Final Inspection and Packaging - Conduct a comprehensive dimensional inspection on the tee to confirm that all indicators meet the drawing requirements - Mark the product model, material, batch number and other information on the surface .
9.Package the qualified products with anti-collision materials and put them into storage for delivery
