1. Raw Material Selection & Cutting - Select qualified carbon steel/stainless steel plates (e.g.A105,304,316) matching flange pressure rating; conduct chemical composition and mechanical property inspection.
- Cut plates into blanks of specified size via CNC flame/plasma cutting machine, ensure blank flatness and no edge deformation.
2. Rough Machining
- Fix blank on CNC lathe, rough machine both end faces to remove oxide layer and ensure thickness tolerance.
- Rough turn outer circle and inner bore to preliminary size, reserve 2-3mm machining allowance for finish machining.
3. Hole Drilling
- Position blank on CNC drilling machine, drill bolt holes evenly according to flange standard (e.g.ANSI, DIN, GB).
- Process bolt hole chamfers to avoid sharp edges, ensure hole position accuracy meets installation requirements.
4. Finish Machining
- Precision machine sealing surface (flat face/raised face) to standard roughness Ra≤3.2μm, ensure sealing performance. - Finish turn outer circle, inner bore and end faces to design dimensions, verify dimensional tolerance with precision gauges.
5. Bevel Processing
- Machine welding bevel at inner/outer edge of flange (if required) via milling machine, ensure bevel angle matches pipe welding demand.
- Deburr all machined surfaces to remove burrs and machining marks.
6. Heat Treatment (Optional)
- Conduct stress relief annealing for carbon steel flanges to eliminate machining internal stress, avoid deformation.
- Perform solution treatment for stainless steel flanges to enhance corrosion resistance.
7. Surface Treatment
- Carbon steel flanges: Anti-rust treatment via galvanizing/painting to prevent corrosion.
- Stainless steel flanges: Pickling and passivation to remove surface oxide layer, improve corrosion resistance.
8. Quality Inspection
- Dimensional inspection: Verify outer diameter, inner bore, thickness and bolt hole position with CMM/calipers.
- Surface inspection: Reject flanges with scratches, pits or uneven sealing surface; check bevel angle and chamfer quality.
9. Marking & Packaging
- Mark flange model, material, pressure rating, standard number and batch number via stamping/laser engraving.
- Wrap qualified flanges with anti-rust paper, pack in wooden cases; store in dry ventilated warehouse pending delivery.
