Product Description
316 Stainless Steel Introduction：Grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics. It is readily brake or roll formed into a variety of parts for applications in the industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. Grade 316 also has outstanding welding characteristics. Post-weld annealing is not required when welding thin sections.Grade 316L, the low carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitisation (grain boundary carbide precipitation). Thus it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components (over about 6mm). 1. Raw Material Selection and PreparationSelect suitable base materials according to application requirements, including metal cores (stainless steel, carbon steel) and sealing layers (rubber, graphite, PTFE), and conduct strict inspection on material thickness, corrosion resistance and temperature resistance to ensure compliance with industrial standards.2. Cutting and BlankingUse CNC cutting machines or die-cutting equipment to cut the metal cores and sealing layer materials into blank sizes matching the design drawings of the manifold inlet flange gasket, with reserved machining allowances for subsequent processes.3. Composite LaminationApply high-temperature resistant adhesive between the metal core and the sealing layer, and use a hydraulic laminating machine to perform hot-pressing composite molding under specified temperature and pressure parameters, ensuring tight bonding between layers without delamination.4. Precision FormingPlace the composite blank into a customized stamping die, and use a precision stamping machine to press the blank into the shape of the manifold inlet flange gasket, ensuring that the inner diameter, outer diameter, bolt hole positions and sealing surface profiles are consistent with the design tolerances.5. Edge Trimming and DeburringUse trimming dies or CNC machining tools to trim the redundant edges of the formed gasket, and remove burrs and sharp edges on the surface and holes through grinding or polishing processes to prevent damage to the flange sealing surface during installation.6. Surface TreatmentCarry out targeted surface treatment according to the material type, such as passivation treatment for metal parts to enhance corrosion resistance, and anti-stick coating for sealing layers to improve sealing performance, and ensure uniform surface treatment without missing coating or over-coating.7. Quality Inspection and TestingConduct comprehensive inspection on the finished gaskets, including dimensional measurement with calipers, micrometers and coordinate measuring machines, sealing performance testing under simulated working pressure and temperature, and visual inspection of surface defects such as cracks, bubbles and unevenness, and reject unqualified products.8. Cleaning, Drying and PackagingClean the qualified gaskets with professional cleaning agents to remove surface oil stains and dust, dry them in a constant temperature drying oven, then classify and package them according to specifications and models, attach labels with material, size, batch number and production date, and store them in a dry and ventilated warehouse for delivery.
