.Raw material inspection: Testing: Material spectral re-inspection, visual flaw detection, and verification of material furnace number; Cutting: Cut blanks of specified weight using a saw.2.Billet heating: Stainless steel billets are fed into a heating furnace and the temperature is controlled to avoid overheating and coarse grains, thus preventing forging cracks.
.Die forging: A custom-made die press is used to forge the saddle shape and upper cylindrical blank in one step. Key point: The Sweepolet streamlined surface is formed by die forging; the curved base cannot be directly machined. The resulting blank: The outer outline is roughly formed, the interior is solid/with pre-reserved coarse holes.
4. Post-forging heat treatment (crucial! Mandatory requirement for high-pressure engineering components):Stainless steel304/316L: Solution annealing. Function: Eliminates forging stress, optimizes metallographic structure, improves toughness, and meets the fatigue requirements of high-pressure pipelines.
.Raw material surface cleaning: Shot blasting/sandblasting: Removes surface oxide scale and forging burrs, facilitating subsequent flaw detection and machining.
.Non-destructive testing (NDT): Magnetic particle testing (MT) / Penetrant testing (PT) are used to inspect for micro-cracks on the surface of forgings; high-end projects may include ultrasonic testing (UT).
.Precision CNC machining (most critical forming process): Turning the outer diameter: trimming the saddle base surface, outer diameter, and welding bevel; Boring the inner hole: machining a smooth inner wall (thin-walled, stepless flow channel, a core feature of Sweepolet); Machining the upper end: BW model: machining the welding bevel; SW model: machining the socket hole; NPT model: threading; Full dimensional inspection: verifying the outer diameter, nominal diameter, height, and surface fit dimensions.
.Surface treatment: Stainless steel: pickling and passivation; Carbon steel: rust removal, blackening / rust-proof coating.
.Final inspection, labeling, and packaging: Dimension verification and stamping (material, standard, specification, furnace number); Protective film + wooden crate packaging to prevent damage during transportation.
