1.Raw Material CuttingQualified carbon steel round bars are selected. According to the required length of studs in orders, automatic cutting machines precisely cut raw materials to fixed lengths. The cut ends are flat without edge chipping. Bars with defects such as cracks and pits are sorted out at the same time. All qualified blanks are classified and stacked for subsequent processing.

2.Surface Rust Removal PretreatmentCut steel bars are sent to shot blasting machines. High-speed steel shots blast the steel surface to eliminate scale, rust and oil stains, improving adhesion for later thread rolling. Workpieces with intact appearance are screened to prevent impurities from damaging thread rolling dies.

3.Precision Thread Rolling FormingRust-free steel bars are fed into thread rolling machines. High-precision rolling dies extrude and roll complete standard full threads. Strict control is implemented on thread pitch and outer diameter tolerance to ensure uniform, full threads that fit nuts smoothly without slipping. After rolling, both ends are trimmed to remove burrs for smooth flat end faces.

4.Quenching & Tempering Heat Treatment (as required)High-load studs undergo quenching and tempering heat treatment. High-temperature quenching and tempering adjust the internal metallographic structure of steel to improve tensile strength and toughness and avoid fracture under stress. This procedure can be omitted for ordinary civil specifications to lower costs.

5.Galvanizing Anti-corrosion TreatmentHot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing is adopted. Studs are soaked in zinc liquid to form dense protective zinc layers, isolating air and moisture to stop carbon steel rusting. After galvanizing, excess zinc liquid is drained off and passivation treatment is carried out to strengthen coating adhesion for outdoor and humid working conditions.

6.Inspection, Sorting & PackagingFull inspection is conducted on thread precision, coating thickness and dimensional tolerance. Defective products with deformation, incomplete threads or missing zinc coating are eliminated. Qualified studs are bundled by specifications with labels marking model and length, then packed into cartons for warehouse storage. Matching nuts and washers can be packed as complete sets for delivery.
