Hastelloy X Introduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The nickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.
HASTELLOY(r) X alloy is a wrought nickel base alloy comprising oxidation resistance and high temperature strength. This alloy is resistant to stress-corrosion cracking.
Forged Fitting 90°/45° Threaded Elbow Introduction
Hastelloy‑X (UNS N06002, 2.4665) 90° and 45° threaded elbows are one‑piece hot‑forged high‑alloy pipe fittings designed to alter fluid flow direction in harsh operating environments. Produced per ASTM B564, ASME B16.11 and MSS SP‑97, they support NPT or BSPT female threads, pressure ratings from 2000# to 9000# and a size scope of 1/8"‑4 inch.
As a nickel‑chromium‑iron‑molybdenum superalloy, Hastelloy‑X features remarkable high‑temperature oxidation resistance, creep‑rupture strength and moderate corrosion resistance, capable of long‑term stable service below 900℃. The seamless forged construction removes welding‑joint failure hazards and ensures excellent sealing performance under high‑pressure conditions. Finished with pickled or machined surface, the elbows are available with PMI, hydrostatic test, NDT and 3.1 inspection certificates.

1.Raw Material Inspection. Nickel‑alloy bar stock is strictly checked before production. Operators carry out PMI material
verification, dimension and surface defect inspection to confirm raw bars comply with relevant material standards. Unqualified blanks will be rejected directly to avoid material mixing risks from the source.
2.Heating & Hot Forging. Qualified bars are cut into fixed‑length blanks and heated to the proper forging temperature in a
controlled heating furnace. The blank is hot‑forged into elbow rough blank via forging press. One‑piece forming eliminates
internal weld seams, improving overall mechanical property and pressure‑bearing capacity of the fitting.
3.Heat Treatment. Forged elbow blanks are delivered for solution annealing treatment. This process relieves forging residual stress, optimizes internal grain structure, improves material toughness and avoids deformation or cracking in subsequent machining.
4.Rough & Fine Machining. Heat‑treated workpieces go through CNC machining. Operators machine elbow outline, end face and thread base, then precisely process NPT or BSPT threaded ports in strict accordance with ASME B1.20.1 thread standard to guarantee thread precision and interchangeability.
5.Surface Treatment & Deburring. Remove machining burrs, sharp edges and oil stains. The product is pickled and passivated to clear oxide scale on the surface, obtaining a clean anti‑oxidation machined‑pickled finish.
6.Quality Testing & Marking. Carry out dimensional inspection, thread gauge check, hydrostatic test and non‑destructive testing. After all tests pass, permanent marking including material grade, pressure class and size is stamped on fittings.
7.Packing & Delivery. Qualified elbows are cleaned, protected with thread caps and packed in wooden cases against collision and moisture before shipment.
