Alloy 20 Introduction
Alloy 20 is an austenitic stainless steel containing less than 50% iron and is used in applications involving sulfuric acid. Its
corrosion resistance also finds other applications in the chemical, petrochemical, power generation, and plastics industries.Alloy 20 exhibits superior resistance to pitting and chloride ion corrosion compared to 304 stainless steel and is comparable to 316L stainless steel. Its copper content protects it from sulfuric acid. Alloy 20 is typically selected to address the potentialstress corrosion cracking issues of 316L stainless steel.

Threaded tee is a typical forged pipe fitting with three‑way connection, used to split or combine fluid flow inside pipeline. It
contains one inlet and two outlets, enabling 90‑degree branch connection from the main run pipe.
Manufactured by hot‑forging process, this tee owns high mechanical strength and excellent high‑pressure resistance. Both run end and branch end are female threaded connections. Common thread types include NPT, BSPT and BSPP. No‑weld installation can be realized for fast on‑site assembly and disassembly.

1.Raw Material Preparation & Inspection:
All production starts with strict raw material control. Qualified steel bars and billets are fully inspected on chemical
composition, mechanical properties and material certification to ensure full compliance with standard requirements. After passing inspection, raw materials are precisely cut into standard forging blanks according to finished product dimensions, providing qualified blanks for subsequent hot forging.
2.Hot Forging & Shaping:
The qualified blanks are heated to professional forging temperature by industrial heating furnace, then integrally forged and shaped by hydraulic forging presses. The integral hot forging process completes the molding of the main pipe and branch pipe of the threaded tee, realizing one-piece forming with compact structure and high overall density. Subsequent trimming is carried out to remove forging flash and redundant burrs, ensuring regular and smooth workpiece outline.
3.Heat Treatment & Surface Cleaning:
To eliminate internal forging stress and optimize mechanical performance, all forged tees undergo standardized heat treatment including annealing, normalizing or quenching and tempering according to material characteristics. After heat treatment, shot blasting or sand blasting is adopted to completely remove surface oxide scales, obtaining smooth and clean forging surfaces without impurities.
4.Precision Machining & Thread Processing:
Professional precision machining is performed on the three ports of the tee, including end face finishing and inner hole
finishing. The core thread processing strictly follows ASME B1.20.1 and relevant industry standards, supporting NPT, BSPT, BSPP and other thread types. All thread tolerances and geometric dimensions are precisely controlled to ensure accurate assembly and tight sealing of pipeline connection.
5.Strict Testing & Marking:
Finished workpieces undergo full-dimensional inspection of wall thickness, overall size and thread specification. For
high-pressure engineering requirements, optional non-destructive testing such as MPI, PT and UT is available to eliminate internal and surface defects. Qualified products are permanently marked with company logo, material grade, heat number, pressure class and execution standard for traceability.
6.Surface Treatment & Finished Packaging:
Qualified products are treated with anti-rust and anti-corrosion processes including black oxide, galvanization and anti-rust oil coating according to usage demands. After final visual inspection to exclude cracks, thread damage and appearance defects, all products are packed in standard plywood cases or wooden crates to adapt to long-distance sea transportation and ensure intact delivery.
