C1020 Introduction

C1020 is pure Copper with a Copper content of over 99.96%. It is also also called ”Oxygen-Free Copper” (OFC) because it does not contain Copper Oxide (Cu2O) or residual deoxidant.It has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and does not cause Hydrogen embrittlement even when heated to high temperatures in a reducing atmosphere.

C1020 90 Degree Copper Elbow Introduction

90 Degree Copper Elbow is a widely used pipe fitting designed to change the flow direction of medium by 90 degrees in copper piping systems. It adopts integral copper forming structure, available in capillary, press-fit and butt weld connection types for different installation requirements. Copper material brings excellent thermal conductivity, superior corrosion resistance and strong biofouling inhibition performance. Manufactured from copper and copper alloy materials complying with relevant ASTM standards, 90 degree copper elbow features smooth inner wall to reduce fluid resistance, stable mechanical property and long service life. It is extensively applied in HVAC, refrigeration, drinking water, gas, medical gas and fire protection piping systems, providing reliable, leak-free connection for medium transmission.

1.Raw Material Inspection & Blanking:

Adopt high-purity copper and copper alloy tubes that comply with ASTM and international piping standards. Strictly inspect material hardness, wall thickness uniformity, surface finish and internal purity to ensure no oxidation spots, cracks or impurities. Qualified copper tubes are precisely cut into standard fixed-length blanks according to different caliber specifications for bending and forming.

2.Soft Annealing & Precision Bending Forming:

Conduct uniform soft annealing treatment on copper blanks to improve ductility and eliminate material hardness. Adopt professional die integral bending process to form standard 90-degree arc structure. The precision die forming ensures smooth inner and outer arc, uniform wall thickness and no collapse or wrinkling, maintaining stable fluid passing performance.

3.Trimming, Shaping & Secondary Calibration:

Trim excess margins at both pipe ends and remove forming burrs. Perform overall shaping and angle calibration to strictly guarantee standard 90-degree bending angle, consistent roundness and regular pipe orifice. This process effectively corrects minor deformation after bending and ensures accurate assembly matching.

4.Precision Machining & Port Processing:

Carry out precision finishing on pipe ends, inner holes and outer circles. Process standard capillary sockets, press-fit grooves or welding bevels according to product types. Strictly control dimensional tolerance and orifice smoothness to ensure tight insertion, accurate docking and reliable connection effect.

5.Surface Polishing, Cleaning & Quality Inspection:

Perform fine internal and external polishing to remove oxide layers and processing traces, achieving smooth inner wall and low fluid resistance. Conduct professional degreasing and cleaning treatment to eliminate oil stains and impurities, suitable for clean medium systems such as water and medical gas. Implement full dimensional inspection, visual appearance inspection and air tightness testing to ensure zero leakage and stable performance.

6.Marking, Anti-oxidation Treatment & Packaging:

Mark qualified 90-degree copper elbows with specifications, material grade and production batch. Apply professional anti-oxidation and anti-tarnish protection. Adopt dust-proof and moisture-proof standardized packaging to avoid surface oxidation and deformation during storage and transportation.
