Select 316 stainless steel solid bar for nut body and 316 stainless steel spring strip for integrated shrapnel. Perform incoming raw material inspection, including spectrometer chemical composition analysis, tensile strength and hardness testing to confirm compliance with ASTM A240 standard. Visual inspection is implemented to detect surface pits, oxidation marks, internal inclusions and cracks. Cut the steel bar and spring strip into fixed-length blanks by sawing and shearing strictly following drawing dimensions, and clean cutting chips to prepare qualified semi-finished blanks for subsequent forming.
2.Cold Forging & Thread Machining:
Conduct room-temperature cold forging operation on 316 stainless steel blanks with professional forging moulds to form the rectangular outline of the nut body. Cold forging optimizes the internal metal grain structure to improve mechanical strength. After forging, perform tapping to process standard internal threads. Strictly control thread pitch, major diameter and tooth profile to guarantee smooth matching with mating screws. Machine the reserved assembly notch on the nut body for shrapnel installation, and monitor dimensional tolerance during processing.
3.Shrapnel Precision Stamping & Bending:
Use high-precision progressive stamping dies to punch, blank and bend the 316 stainless steel spring strip. Form the standalone shrapnel into the designed curved elastic structure. Adjust stamping pressure and bending angle to ensure stable elastic deformation and long-cycle fatigue resistance. Remove sharp edge burrs from stamped shrapnel parts by micro-deburring, avoid scratching operators or aluminum profile grooves during assembly. Random sampling is carried out to test spring rebound performance. No ball or pellet component is used in this design.
4.Component Assembly & Integrated Deburring:
Assemble the stamped standalone 316 shrapnel into the pre-machined notch of nut body, ensure the shrapnel is tightly fixed and cannot fall off. Carry out integrated tumbling deburring treatment for the assembled shrapnel nut, to eliminate tiny burrs on thread teeth, outer contour and shrapnel edges. Manually test the elasticity of shrapnel one by one, confirm that the shrapnel can compress and rebound smoothly without stuck or permanent deformation.
5.Surface Finishing & Multi-dimensional Performance Testing:
Implement fine surface polishing to remove oil stains and metal particles on the surface. Conduct a series of performance tests: thread fit test to check screw assembly smoothness; spring fatigue test to verify elastic stability after repeated compression; vibration anti-loosening test; salt spray test to validate the natural anti-corrosion property of 316 stainless steel. All non-conforming products will be picked out and isolated.
6.Final Full Inspection & Moisture-proof Packaging:
Carry out full final inspection in accordance with engineering drawings, including overall dimension check, appearance inspection, thread integrity verification and shrapnel rebound function test. The qualified products go through ultrasonic cleaning and drying to remove residual dirt. Pack finished nuts into moisture-proof packaging bags with desiccants, mark product specifications and batch number on the package, to avoid moisture and mechanical damage during storage and ocean transportation.
