S32760 Introduction

Stainless steel grade F55 has excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of areas, especially resistance to pitting and
crevice corrosion in seawater and other chloride containing environments, with critical pitting temperature that is more than 50°C(122°F). This material is known to also have high strength and extended lifecycle. It is 10% lighter than grade 316 steel, ideal for sub-zero service, and more cost effective than nickel alloys. Stainless steel grade F55 can be easily machined and welded. The following datasheet provides an overview of stainless steel grade F55.

Size Specifications: Sizes typically range from 1/8″ to 3″ (DN6-DN80), with pressure ratings such as 3000# and 6000#. 4. Thread Standards: Common thread standards include NPT, Rc, BSP, and G; manufacturing standards primarily include ASME B16.11 and MSS SP-83. 5. Features and Advantages: Features include easy connection, easy disassembly, and good sealing. It allows for convenient partial maintenance or replacement without disassembling the entire piping system, and can be widely used in building water supply and drainage, industrial piping, and fire protection systems. 6. Installation method: During installation, first check whether the sealing surface is intact, then align the external thread end with the external thread of the pipe, tighten it gently by hand, then tighten it further with a wrench, and finally check whether there is any leakage at the connection.
