S32760 Introduction

Stainless steel grade F55 has excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of areas, especially resistance to pitting andcrevice corrosion in seawater and other chloride containing environments, with critical pitting temperature that is more than 50°C(122°F). This material is known to also have high strength and extended lifecycle. It is 10% lighter than grade 316 steel,ideal for sub-zero service, and more cost effective than nickel alloys. Stainless steel grade F55 can be easily machined and welded. The following datasheet provides an overview of stainless steel grade F55.

Socket flanges are a common type of pipe fitting, named for their connection method of inserting the pipe into the flange socket and welding it.The following is a detailed introduction:- Structural Features: Socket flanges have a circular socket, allowing the pipe end to be directly inserted into the socket. Fixing is achieved through a circumferential weld between the socket and the outer wall of the pipe. They are available with or without a neck; necked socket flanges offer better rigidity and less welding deformation.- Manufacturing Standards: Common manufacturing standards include ANSI B16.5, HG20619-1997, and GB/T9117.1-2000.- Connection Advantages: High connection strength, uniform weld stress, effectively resisting axial tensile and lateral impact forces on the pipe; good sealing performance, with the socket and pipe fitting tightly together, forming a closed circumferential sealing surface after welding; the sealing performance can be further improved with the addition of gaskets; strong installation adaptability, lower requirements for pipe end face machining precision, and high construction error tolerance.- Application scope: Commonly used in pipelines with PN≤10.0MPa and DN≤40, and widely used in industries such as boilers, pressure vessels, petroleum, chemical, shipbuilding, and pharmaceuticals.
