15-7PH, Product Name: 15-7PH (0Cr15Ni7Mo2Al), Product Characteristics: After heat treatment, it has higher hardness and better corrosion resistance. It is a precipitation hardening steel type with copper added. Product Usage: As springs, heat rings, instrument accessories, medical knives, and for oil drilling.

Elbow Introduction

Elbow, also known as 90-degree elbow or right-angle elbow, is a pipe fitting used in the piping system to change the direction of the pipeline. It is mainly applied in the field of plumbing installation. This pipe fitting can be classified into three common types according to the angle: 45°, 90°, and 180°. It also includes non-standard angles such as 60° for special engineering requirements. When the bending radius is less than or equal to 1.5 times the pipe diameter, it is defined as an elbow.The material of the elbow covers cast iron, wrought cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, non-ferrous metals, and plastics, and the connection methods include direct welding, flange connection, hot melt connection, electric fusion connection, threaded connection, and socket connection, etc.The main production processes include hot push forming, stamping forming, and plate welding. Among them, the hot push process has the characteristics of uniform wall thickness and continuous operation, and has become the main production method for carbon steel elbows. The products need to undergo surface shot blasting treatment and anti-corrosion paint coating. This pipe fitting is widely used in engineering fields such as chemical engineering, construction, petroleum, power, shipbuilding, etc. It performs the functions of direction conversion and connection of different pipe diameters in the pipeline system and is also known by industrial names such as butt-weld elbow.

Elbow Produce Processing

1. Raw Material Preparation：Select qualified steel pipes/round bars, inspect chemical composition & mechanical properties.

2. Cutting：Cut raw materials into fixed-length blanks by sawing/cutting machine.

3. Heating：Heat blanks to 900-1100℃ in heating furnace for plastic forming.

4. Forming：- Hot pushing: Push heated blanks via pushing machine to form elbow shape with mold.- Hot forging: Forge blanks into elbow rough shape by forging press.

5. Trimming：Remove flash, burrs and excess material from formed elbows.

6. Heat Treatment：Quench + temper to improve hardness, toughness and corrosion resistance.

7. Machining：Process end faces, inner/outer diameters to meet dimensional accuracy.

8. Surface Treatment：Derust via shot blasting/pickling, then do anti-corrosion coating (painting, galvanizing).

9. Inspection：Check dimensions, appearance, non-destructive testing (UT, RT) and pressure test.

10. Packing & Storage：Pack qualified elbows and store in dry, ventilated warehouse.
