Alloy 625 introduction
Super alloys are also referred to as high performance alloys. They can function at high temperatures and mechanical stress, and are formed in different shapes. They are strengthened by work hardening, solid-solution hardening, and precipitation hardening.There are three groups of alloys, namely cobalt-based, nickel-based, and iron-based super alloys.Altemp 625™ is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy. It has an ability to withstand stress-corrosion cracking and intergranular attack. The following sections with discuss about Altemp 625™ in detail.
Socket Welding Cap Introduction
A pipe cap—also known as an end cap—is a component used to seal the end of a vessel, thereby isolating the internal and external media. The end closures of cylindrical vessels are generally shells of revolution.A vessel head is a component of a vessel that is connected to the shell by welding.A vessel head is an end cap for a pressure vessel and serves as a primary pressure-bearig component; its function is to provide a seal. It serves two main purposes: acting as the top and bottom ends of a tank-style pressure vessel, or sealing off the end of a pipeline where no further extension is planned—in which case the head is welded onto the pipe. Products that perform a similar sealing function include blind flanges and pipe caps; however, those are removable, whereas a vessel head cannot be removed once welded in place. Associated components and equipment include pressure vessels, piping, flanges, elbows, tees, and crosses.

Socket Welding Cap Product Processing
1.Select suitable materials: Choose appropriate steel pipe or steel plate materials based on the required shape and dimensions of the pipe cap.
2.Processing materials: Steel pipe materials must be processed according to the required shape and dimensions of the pipe cap; steel plate materials require corresponding processing as well.
3.Heat treatment: Heating the steel pipe material to a high temperature to soften it, thereby facilitating subsequent extrusion forming operations.
4.Forming process: Appropriate forming operations are carried out based on the chosen method. For example, in the extrusion forming method, a softened steel pipe is fed into an extrusion press and shaped using an extrusion die; in the stamping forming method, a steel plate is placed in a press and shaped using a stamping die; and the welding method involves bending a steel plate into the shape of a pipe cap and butt-welding it to the steel pipe.
5.Welding process: For the welding method, the mating surfaces must be ground and cleaned to ensure the joint is smooth and clean; welding is then performed to fuse the parts into a single, integrated unit.
6.Cooling treatment: Once the pipe cap has cooled, perform surface treatment—such as painting—to enhance its appearance.
