.Raw Material PretreatmentQualified low-carbon or medium-carbon steel wire rods are adopted. Processes including pickling, phosphating and saponification are carried out to remove surface scale and rust, improve the lubricity of raw materials, prevent scratches and cracks during processing, and provide high-quality base materials for subsequent cold heading forming.
.Cold Heading FormingHigh-precision cold heading machines cut the wire rod, upset the head and shape the workpiece, forming the hexagonal head and shank of bolts in one step. The cold heading process maintains continuous metal fiber and higher material density, improving the overall strength and toughness of bolts, with standard hexagonal dimensions and neat appearance guaranteed.
.Precision Thread RollingFormed blanks go through thread rolling. Special thread rolling dies extrude and roll to form standard threads. The threads feature uniform, full profiles with high precision and tight engagement, effectively preventing thread slipping and loosening. They match precise assembly with all types of nuts and meet universal thread tolerance standards of GB, DIN and other specifications.
.Heat Treatment Strengthening (For High-strength Types)High-strength bolts of Grade 8.8 and above adopt quenching and tempering heat treatment to eliminate processing stress, enhance tensile strength and hardness, and avoid fracture or deformation under heavy loads. Ordinary Grade 4.8 bolts require no heat treatment and maintain excellent ductility.
.Surface Treatment & InspectionAnti-corrosion treatments such as black oxide finishing, electro-galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing are available as required. Final procedures include dimension verification, hardness testing, tensile test and visual sorting to reject defective products. Qualified bolts are packed and warehoused to ensure stable and compliant quality.
