Select qualified 316/316L stainless steel seamless pipes or plates in line with ASTM A403 standard. Conduct PMI (Positive Material Identification) to verify chemical composition. Cut raw materials into fixed lengths according to size requirements, then remove surface oxide, burrs and impurities.
2. Forming ProcessHeat the blank to 1100–1200℃ by electric furnace. Adopt hot pressing, spinning or die stamping to form the conical reducer body. Concentric and eccentric models use different molds to ensure accurate centerline and offset dimension. Control cooling rate to maintain material mechanical properties.
3. Trimming & MachiningCut and trim the ends to achieve specified length and opening size. Machine welding bevels per ASME B16.25 standard to ensure good fit and welding quality. Calibrate roundness, taper and concentricity/eccentricity to meet tolerance requirements.
4. Surface & Heat TreatmentCarry out solution annealing to improve corrosion resistance and eliminate internal stress. Perform pickling and passivation to form a protective film, remove scale and enhance rust resistance. Polish inner and outer surfaces if required by sanitary or fluid conditions.
5. Inspection & TestingConduct visual inspection, dimensional verification and hydrostatic pressure test to ensure no leakage or deformation. Optional UT/RT non-destructive testing can be performed. Issue material test certificates (MTC) and finish packaging for delivery.
