Stainless steel 304 introduction
Stainless steel is an alloy steel based on iron and chromium, supplemented with alloying elements such as nickel, molybdenum, and manganese. The core principle is that chromium in the steel combines with oxygen to form a dense, stable chromium oxide passivation film on the material surface, isolating it from air and moisture and preventing the steel from rusting and corroding.304 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel and is the most widely used general-purpose stainless steel material.

A U bolt is a U-shaped bent fastener made of round solid bar, with fully machined external threads on both straight ends. U Bolt Product Processing
1.Raw Material Inspection & Cutting:Adopt solid stainless steel round bar (18-8/304) or carbon steel round bar as raw material.Test material diameter, hardness, surface quality and metallurgical composition to meet ASTM and GB standards.Use automatic cutting machine to cut the round bar into fixed lengths according to U bolt size specifications.
2: CNC U-Shaped Bending:Fix the cut steel bar on hydraulic CNC bending machine with customized mould.Bend the middle section into a smooth standard U arc, ensure symmetrical shape and uniform bending radius.Keep two straight ends parallel and vertical for subsequent threading.
3: Thread Rolling (Key Procedure):Clamp the two straight shanks on high-speed thread rolling machine.Roll complete external threads on both ends, standard thread types: Metric, UNC (Coarse Thread), UNF (Fine Thread).Check thread pitch, tooth shape and fit tolerance to guarantee smooth matching with hex nuts.
4: Deburring & Polishing:Remove sharp burrs on bending corners and thread end faces by vibration grinding or manual trimming.Polish the whole surface to eliminate scratches and metal burrs, avoid hurting installers and scratching pipes.
5: Surface Anti-Corrosion Treatment:For 304 Stainless Steel U Bolts.Ultrasonic degreasing → acid cleaning → passivation treatment → hot air drying.Passivation forms a protective film to greatly improve rust and corrosion resistance.
6: Strict Quality Inspection:Inspect bending dimension, inner U diameter, rod diameter, thread integrity and flatness one by one.Eliminate deformed, cracked, thread damaged and out-of-tolerance defective products.Classify finished goods by material, thread standard and size.
