.Raw Material InspectionRaw materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel are checked before production. Each batch is tested for chemical composition, hardness and surface flaws. Material certificates can be provided. Unqualified blanks will be eliminated to avoid hidden defects of finished pipe fittings.
.Mold ManufacturingCustom‑made casting molds are produced according to tee drawings. High precision is required for three branch ports, inner cavity and thread forming allowance. Accurate molds ensure qualified basic dimensions of the tee body and reserve proper machining margin for later thread processing.
.Casting FormingMolten metal is poured into mould cavity. The whole tee is integrally cast. Cooling parameters are strictly controlled to reduce shrinkage, porosity and cracks, so that the workpiece can withstand medium‑high pressure in pipeline service.
.Fettling and Rough FinishingAfter demolding, remove sprues, runners and casting flashes. Clean surface burrs and oxide skin. Carry out preliminary grinding for three end faces, leaving sufficient machining allowance for threading.
.CNC Machining & Thread TappingPrecision turning is processed on each end, then internal threads are machined. Thread standards can be NPT, BSPT or BSPP. Thread gauges are used on‑site to check thread tightness, ensuring good fit with matching threaded pipes.
.Surface TreatmentOptional surface treatments include shot blasting, anti‑rust oil, black paint or galvanization. This procedure removes casting scale, improves corrosion resistance and meets different customer surface requirements.
.Quality InspectionEvery batch passes visual inspection, dimensional check and thread gauge test. Hydraulic pressure test and magnetic particle inspection are available upon request to detect internal and surface defects. Non‑conforming products will be sorted out.
.PackingQualified cast threaded equal tees are treated with anti‑rust protection, packed in plywood cases. Shipping marks with size, material grade and standard are clearly marked to prevent damage and confusion during ocean transportation.
