Stainless steel 304 introduction
Stainless steel is an alloy steel based on iron and chromium, supplemented with alloying elements such as nickel, molybdenum, and manganese. The core principle is that chromium in the steel combines with oxygen to form a dense, stable chromium oxide passivation film on the material surface, isolating it from air and moisture and preventing the steel from rusting and corroding.304 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel and is the most widely used general-purpose stainless steel material.
Spiral Wound Gasket Introduction
Spiral wound gaskets are typically made of high-quality SUS304 or SUS316 stainless steel spiral wound strips ("V" or "W" shaped)alternately and spirally wound with soft materials such as graphite, asbestos, PTFE, or asbestos-free materials. The metal strips are fixed at the beginning and end by spot welding. Basic spiral wound gaskets do not have inner or outer rings and are generally used in medium- and low-pressure tongue and groove flanges and flat or raised face flanges. Performance characteristics: Spiral wound gaskets have good compression and resilience, provide multiple seals and a certain degree of self-tightening. They are not very sensitive to surface defects on the flange pressing surface, do not stick to the flange sealing surface, and can partially eliminate the effects of pressure, temperature changes, and mechanical vibration. They can maintain excellent sealing performance under various harsh conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, high vacuum, and impact vibration. Applications: Static sealing parts of flange connections in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, power, shipbuilding, gas, nuclear energy, aerospace, textile, pharmaceutical, and machinery.

Spiral Wound Gasket Product Processing
1.Material preparation:Select stainless steel strip (304/316L), flexible graphite filler, inner ring and outer ring raw materials according to customer requirements, and inspect material certificates and surface quality.
2.Slitting:Cut metal strips and graphite strips to the specified width by slitting machine, remove burrs and keep edges smooth.
3.Winding forming:Alternately wind V-shaped metal strip and flexible graphite filler on the winding mandrel under constant tension control to ensure uniform density.
4.Spot welding fixing:Spot-weld the start and end of the winding joint to prevent loosening and spring back.
5.Inner & outer ring processing:Cutting, turning and anti-rust treatment (color zinc plating) for inner ring and outer ring, control size tolerance.
6.Assembly:Fit the wound spiral body with inner ring and outer ring, ensure concentricity.
7.Finishing inspection:Check outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness, flatness, welding quality and surface defects.
8.Marking & packaging:Mark specification, material, standard on gasket; use waterproof plastic bag + carton packaging for storage and transportation.
