Carbon Steel A105 introduction
ASTM A105 (UNS K03504) is carbon steel for piping forgings. It works within temperature from -29℃ to 425℃ with excellent forgeability and weldability. Commonly manufactured into Threadolet, Sockolet, hex bushing and other socket & threaded fittings.Normalized A105N is available. Widely used in steam, oil and natural gas pipeline projects, complying with ASME B16.11,MSS SP-97standards.
Single Swivel Socket Key Clamp Fitting Introduction
Single Swivel Socket is a typical adjustable‑angle malleable iron key‑clamp fitting for round tube modular frame construction. It consists of two tube sockets connected by a hinge pin, providing approx. ±85° bi‑directional angular adjustment,breaking the limitation of fixed 90‑degree connection.
Each socket accepts round steel pipe. Tighten hexagon set‑screws to grip pipe outer wall firmly. No welding, no threading or pipe modification required. It enables flexible angled connection for sloped structures such as stair handrails and ramp guardrails.Fabricated from black‑heart malleable cast iron with hot‑dip galvanized surface treatment for reliable anti‑corrosion performance,suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Please select fitting size strictly according to the outer diameter of applied steel tube.
Important Note: This fitting is designed for bracing connection, not for heavy bending‑load bearing. Do not build the whole
structure merely with swivel fittings, otherwise structural instability may occur.

1. Raw Material Casting:
High‑grade malleable iron is adopted as raw material. Molten metal is poured into precision casting molds to form integrated blanks, including two tube sockets and swivel hinge joint structure. The hinge mating surface is pre‑formed in casting stage.
2. High‑temperature Annealing Treatment:
Cast blanks go through strict malleableizing annealing process. It eliminates internal casting stress, improves material
toughness, and avoids crack risk at the swivel hinge position under impact load. This is an indispensable process for
malleable iron key‑clamp fittings.
3. Shot Blasting & Deburring:
Shot blasting removes casting flash, burrs and surface oxide scale. Clean and uniform metal surface is obtained for subsequent machining and hot‑dip galvanizing.
4. Precision Machining & Hinge Assembly:
Bore machining for two sockets, ensure inner diameter matches outer diameter of round steel pipe for smooth tube insertion.
Tap threaded holes for hexagon set‑screws. Guarantee set‑screws can lock steel pipes tightly.
Precision machine hinge pin holes for rotation joint. Assemble hinge pin, ensure flexible free swivel within ±85° without
jamming or excessive clearance.
Clean all metal chips after machining.
5. Surface Treatment: Hot‑dip Galvanizing:
Finished components are immersed in molten zinc liquid for hot‑dip galvanizing. Form dense zinc coating for rust‑proof and anti‑corrosion performance, suitable for outdoor and humid working conditions. Stainless‑steel version applies pickling & passivation instead.
6. Multi‑item Quality Inspection:
Check dimensional tolerance, inner socket size, thread quality, swivel rotation flexibility, hinge clearance, galvanized
coating thickness and surface appearance. Reject cracked, stuck or defective products.
7. Packing & Shipment:
Qualified single swivel socket fittings are packed in cartons, stacked on pallets for container shipment.
