Alloy 20 Introduction
Alloy 20 is an austenitic stainless steel containing less than 50% iron and is used in applications involving sulfuric acid. Its
corrosion resistance also finds other applications in the chemical, petrochemical, power generation, and plastics industries.Alloy 20 exhibits superior resistance to pitting and chloride ion corrosion compared to 304 stainless steel and is comparable to 316L stainless steel. Its copper content protects it from sulfuric acid. Alloy 20 is typically selected to address the potentialstress corrosion cracking issues of 316L stainless steel.

Forged Threaded Square‑Head Plug, Hex‑Head Plug and Round‑Head Bushing belong to high‑pressure forged threaded pipe fittings manufactured in compliance with ASME B16.11 & MSS‑SP‑114 standard. Produced by hot‑forging from solid steel billet, they feature high mechanical strength, excellent pressure‑bearing capacity and reliable leak‑tight sealing performance for industrial piping systems.
1.Square‑Head Plug:The square top head provides firm gripping torque for wrench operation. It is resistant to head rounding‑off under heavy tightening force, suitable for pipelines requiring frequent disassembly and maintenance.
2.Hex‑Head Plug:Hexagonal‑shaped head fits standard open‑end wrenches, offering flexible and fast installation in narrow‑space working conditions, widely‑used general‑purpose sealing solution.
3.Round‑Head Bushing (Flush Bushing):Smooth round top without protruding head. It sits flush with the fitting surface after installation, ideal for locations with limited clearance or anti‑collision requirements.

1.Raw Material Preparation & Inspection
Strict incoming‑material inspection is implemented for steel bars and billets. Tests covering chemical composition, mechanical performance and material certificates are carried out to verify compliance with relevant standards. Unqualified raw materials will be rejected. Qualified blanks are cut to required size for subsequent hot forging operation.
3.Heat Treatment
Forged workpieces go through normalized or quenched‑tempered heat treatment to eliminate forging stress, optimize grain structure and improve comprehensive mechanical properties, so as to meet hardness and toughness requirements for high‑pressure service conditions.
4.Precision Machining & Thread Processing
Rough forgings are processed by CNC lathes to finish outer‑shaping, head forming and inner‑hole machining. Standard NPT / BSPT threaded profiles are precisely turned on sealing connection sections. Thread tolerance and surface finish are strictly controlled.
5.Surface Treatment & Quality Inspection
Deburring, descaling and surface finishing are completed. Full‑range inspection includes dimension checking, thread gauging, visual surface defect detection and hardness test. Hydro‑static pressure test can be performed on request to verify sealing performance. Non‑conforming items will be separated and reworked or scrapped.
6.Cleaning, Marking & Packing
Qualified products are cleaned, marked with material grade, size and heat number, then packed properly to avoid damage during storage and transportation.
