Select qualified bar stock of carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel complying with ASTM A182 specifications. Check chemical composition, mechanical properties and surface quality. Raw bars are cut into fixed‑length blanks with clean cutting surfaces for subsequent forging.
2.Heating and Closed‑die Forging:
Blanks are heated to the target forging temperature. Hot die‑forging is carried out to form the integrated body with main‑pipe connection section, branch outlet and built‑in reinforcement structure, ensuring dense internal metal grain and uniform wall‑thickness distribution around the reinforced area.
3.Trimming, Straightening & Heat Treatment:
Remove forging flash and excess material, then straighten work‑pieces to eliminate forming distortion. Conduct corresponding heat‑treatment procedures — stress‑relief annealing for carbon steel, solution treatment for stainless steel — to remove forging stress and improve mechanical and corrosion‑resistant performance.
4.Precision Machining & Thread Machining:
Machine the saddle contour for fitting onto the outer surface of the main pipe, finish branch bore and machine internal threads such as NPT, BSPT or BSPP on the branch outlet strictly according to required thread standards.
5.Surface Treatment & Quality Testing:
Remove burrs, oxide scale and surface defects. Carry out full dimensional inspection, visual examination and nondestructive testing to verify reinforcement dimension, thread tolerance and overall quality.
6.Marking, Anti‑rust Treatment & Packaging:
Mark approved threaded olets with material grade, specification, standard and heat number. Apply anti‑rust protection and standard packaging before delivery and warehousing.
