2. Forging Process:
The bit legs and cones are hot forged under high temperature to refine metal structure, eliminate internal defects, and improve overall strength and impact toughness for harsh rock drilling conditions.
3. CNC Machining:
Precision CNC machining is performed to process bit contour, shaft journal, mud flow channels, oil grooves and assembly holes, ensuring accurate dimensional tolerance and structural consistency.
4. Heat Treatment:
Professional heat treatment including carburizing, quenching and tempering is carried out to harden the working surface while maintaining tough core texture, improving wear resistance and anti-impact performance.
5. Tungsten Carbide Insert Press Fitting:
Precision tooth holes are drilled on the cones. Standard YG8 tungsten carbide inserts are hydraulically pressed into holes by interference fit to ensure firm installation, no falling off during high-load rock breaking.
6. Bearing and Seal Assembly:
High-precision bearings, rubber seals and pressure compensation lubrication components are assembled strictly. The internal lubrication system is installed to prevent mud intrusion and reduce operating friction.
7. Three-Leg Integral Welding:
Three sets of machined leg-cone assemblies are positioned and welded with precise temperature control to avoid thermal damage to internal seals and lubrication structures, ensuring overall bit rigidity.
8. Thread Machining:
Standard API connection threads are precisely processed and calibrated to guarantee accurate connection, smooth assembly and reliable matching with drilling tools.
9. Pressure Testing:
Lubricating grease is filled into the bit interior. Strict pressure tightness testing is conducted to check sealing performance and eliminate leakage risk under downhole pressure.
10. Final Product Inspection:
Comprehensive final inspection including dimension detection, rotation flexibility test, non-destructive flaw detection and appearance inspection is performed. Only qualified products are marked, painted and delivered.
