Alloy 718 Introduction
Alloy 718/2.4668 is a nickel-chromium iron alloy with niobium and molybdenum and low contained aluminum and tnum. Excellent mechanical properties in lower temperatures. Excellent corrosion resistance at high and low temperatures

Weld Neck Flanges Introduction
1.Structure feature:Weld neck flanges (WN flanges) are characterized by a tapered hub and a butt-weld end. The tapered neck gradually transfers stress from the flange to the pipe, reducing stress concentration at the joint.
2.Connection method:They are joined to pipes by butt welding. Full penetration welding is required between the flange neck and pipe end, which guarantees high joint strength and tightness.
3.Application scenarios:Suitable for severe working conditions, including high pressure, high temperature, low temperature, and fluctuating load services. Widely used in oil, gas, chemical, power and pipeline engineering.
4.Advantages:Excellent structural integrity and fatigue resistance. The butt weld joint can be inspected by radiographic testing (RT). It provides reliable sealing under cyclic pressure and temperature changes.
5.Standards & material options:Manufactured according to standards like ASME B16.5, EN 1092-1. Available in carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel, with various pressure classes for selection.

718 Weld Neck Flanges Produce Processing
1.Raw Material Inspection:Check Inconel 718 raw forging billets. Verify material certificate, chemical composition and mechanical properties to meet ASTM B564 requirements. Reject non-conforming stocks before production.
2.Forging & Hot Forming：Heat the 718 alloy blank to specified temperature, then forge to form the basic shape of weld neck flange, including tapered hub and flange plate. Forging refines grain structure to improve strength and fatigue resistance.
3.Heat Treatment:Carry out solution annealing and aging treatment for Inconel 718. This step optimizes tensile strength, hardness and corrosion resistance, releasing internal forging stress.
4.Precision Machining:Turning, milling and drilling are performed on CNC machines. Machine the flange face, bolt holes, hub taper and butt-weld end to meet ASME B16.5 dimensional tolerances.
5.Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):Conduct NDT inspections including UT, MT or PT to detect surface and internal defects such as cracks and inclusions. All test records are kept for material traceability.
6.Final Inspection & Marking & Packaging:Check dimension, surface finish and marking. Stamp required marks: material grade, heat number, pressure class, standard. Then apply anti-rust protection and pack for shipment.
