Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

Threaded union is a forged highpressure pipe fitting, also known as union. It is composed of two threaded body halves and a locking nut, serving as a detachable threaded piping connector. Both ends adopt pipe thread connection, which can be screwed directly into matching threaded pipes or fittings. Sealing is realized by metal-to-metal contact of precision internal sealing faces. The pipeline can be separated by loosening the locking nut without cutting or welding, which facilitates maintenance, disassembly and replacement of instruments and valves.

It complies with standards including ASME B16.11, MSS SP83 and GB/T14383. Thread types include NPT, BSPT and others, with pressure classes of Class 2000, 3000 and 6000, suitable for smallbore highpressure process pipelines. It is integrally forged with compact structure. Threads and sealing surfaces are precision machined with tight dimensional tolerance and stable pressure resistance. Made of nickel alloy, the fitting has excellent corrosion resistance and can operate steadily under corrosive and hightemperature working conditions. It features smooth thread engagement, reliable sealing and simple installation.

It is widely used in highpressure pipelines of chemical, oil & gas, energy and water treatment industries, especially for instrument lines, sampling lines, valve assemblies and piping sections requiring regular disassembly and maintenance.

1. Raw Material Inspection

Check documents, appearance and perform sampling NDT for nickel alloy billets. Verify marks, mechanical and chemical properties to meet order requirements and complete traceability marking.

2. Cutting & Blanking

Cut billets according to drawing dimensions, remove burrs and oxide residues, ensure forging allowance meets process requirements.

3. Heating & Forging

Heat billets to specified temperature, forge the body halves and nut blanks with moulds. Control forging pressure and time to achieve uniform internal structure.

4. Heat Treatment

Conduct heat treatment in accordance with nickel alloy specification to relieve forging stress, optimize metallographic structure and stabilize mechanical properties.

5. Sand Blasting Cleaning

Remove scale and oil contamination on blank surface to get clean uniform surface for subsequent machining and inspection.

6. CNC Machining

Machine pipe threads, end faces and precision sealing faces. Ensure thread profile accuracy, sealing surface roughness and dimensional tolerance comply with standard drawings.

7. Dimensional Inspection

Fully inspect critical dimensions with calipers, depth gauges, thread plug gauges and other tools, record data. Isolate and rework out-of-spec products.

8. NDT Inspection

Carry out non-destructive testing to detect surface and internal defects such as cracks and inclusions. Mark and dispose non-conforming parts separately.

9. Surface Treatment

Perform pickling, polishing or other treatments as required to meet anti-corrosion and appearance requirements.

10. Final Inspection & Assembly Test

Recheck appearance, marking and documents, verify standard, pressure class and specification information. Trialassemble components to check thread engagement and fitting of sealing surfaces.

11. Marking & Packaging

Mark as required, apply protective packaging and transfer to warehouse for delivery.
