Swage nipple is a forged reducing pipe fitting, a special component for diameter transition in piping systems. It has different sizes at both ends and is used to connect piping components with different flow sizes. Manufactured from nickel alloy and produced in accordance with standards such as ASME B16.11 and MSS SP95, it supports threaded, socket welding and other connection types to meet reducing connection requirements under high-pressure working conditions.

The fitting adopts a smooth tapered inner bore, which reduces flow resistance, turbulence, pressure drop and medium impact to ensure stable fluid transportation. It features compact structure and small installation space, suitable for instrument impulse lines, pipe branches and confined piping sections. 1. Raw Material Inspection

Verify nickel alloy billets by spectrum test and visual inspection. Check for cracks, laminations and inclusions, confirm dimensions and keep inspection records.

2. Cutting

Cut raw materials according to product specifications and reducing ratio, ensure flat end faces and proper machining allowance.

3. Heating and Forging

Heat billets in temperature-controlled furnace. Forge tapered reducing profile by closed die forging, then cool blanks following specified procedure to release stress.

4. Blank Inspection

Check blank shape and reducing transition profile, screen out blanks with cracks, shortage or deformation.

5. Sandblasting

Remove oxide scale and forging contaminants by sandblasting to get clean surface for precision machining.

6. CNC Machining

Finish turning of outer diameter, end faces and inner bore. Machine threads or socket weld grooves as required, strictly control tapered bore and dimensional tolerance.

7. Dimension & Profile Inspection

Check end sizes and transition section with special gauges, ensure smooth inner bore and tolerance compliance.

8. Hydrostatic & Pneumatic Test

Carry out pressure test per specified pressure class, hold pressure and check for leakage.

9. Deburring and Surface Cleaning

Remove metal chips, oil and burrs for smooth surface.

10. Final Inspection and Marking

Recheck all dimensions and appearance. Mark specifications and standards on qualified fittings.

11. Packaging and Warehousing

Protect threads or grooves, pack separately and put into storage.
