Butt Weld Lateral Olet is a forged reinforced branch fitting manufactured in accordance with MSS SP97. Its branch outlet is arranged at a 45° angle relative to the main pipe axis, which is different from vertical olets.

It is integrally forged with smooth transition at the root to disperse stress at the opening of the main pipe and compensate for the strength loss caused by pipe opening. The end is machined with standard welding bevel for full penetration butt welding with branch pipe. The weld joint is suitable for radiographic inspection. Its inner bore is smooth without ledges or dead corners, which brings low flow resistance.

Made of nickel alloy, it features outstanding corrosion resistance and hightemperature & highpressure performance. It is widely used for angled branch takeoffs in process piping, corrosive service and hightemperature highpressure equipment for sampling, venting and bypass connections. It is ideal for continuous service pipelines requiring high weld reliability.
