Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The nickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.

Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solidsolution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.

HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

Threaded flanges connect with pipes by internal threads, without welding, which is a detachable flange type. Internal threads are machined on the flange bore. During assembly, externally threaded pipes are screwed into the flange for positioning, and sealing is realized by gaskets on the face.

This flange is easy to install. No welding equipment or welding work is required on site, and there is no heataffected zone from welding. It is suitable for service conditions where welding is prohibited. The sealing face can be machined to different types per project standards, compatible with various gaskets to meet sealing requirements of different pressure classes.

Made of nickel alloy, it has excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature mechanical properties, and keeps stable performance in corrosive piping. It is widely used for low and medium pressure process pipelines, as well as fireproof and explosion-proof occasions where hot work is forbidden, commonly seen in chemical, oil & gas and instrument piping systems for easy disassembly and maintenance.

1. Raw Material Inspection

Check material certificate, appearance and dimension of nickel alloy forgings. Sampling test for physical and chemical properties. Production starts after passing inspection.

2. Cutting

Cut blanks according to drawing specifications with sufficient allowance reserved for forging and machining.

3. Forging

Form flange blanks by forging to refine microstructure, eliminate internal defects such as porosity and improve mechanical strength.

4. Rough Machining

Rough turn outer diameter, thickness and bore, leave finish allowance and mark bolt hole positions preliminarily.

5. Heat Treatment

Perform heat treatment as required to release forging stress, stabilize material structure and optimize mechanical properties.

6. Finish Machining

Precision turn sealing face and end face; machine internal thread, drill and ream bolt holes. Strictly control thread accuracy, surface roughness and all dimensional tolerances.

7. Non-Destructive Testing

Carry out NDT to detect surface and internal defects like cracks and inclusions.

8. Marking

Stamp specification, pressure class, heat number and material grade on flange body for traceability.

9. Surface Treatment

Remove burrs and cutting oil. Passivation protection can be applied upon request.

10. Final Inspection

Full inspection on dimensions, thread accuracy and sealing face quality. Verify documents and issue inspection reports.

11. Packaging & Warehousing

Protect threads and sealing faces, pack separately and store by classification.
