Socket welding flanges are a common type of pipe connecting flange. They are designed with a socket recess. The pipe is inserted into the socket of the flange, and fillet welding is carried out at the pipe end outside the flange to firmly connect the pipe and the flange.

With a compact structure and easy assembly, they do not require bevel preparation for welding, which makes them suitable for smallbore piping under medium and high pressure. The sealing face can be machined into various types as required to match gaskets and achieve reliable sealing.

3. ForgingForm the blank by forging to refine internal microstructure, remove internal defects and improve mechanical strength.

4. Rough MachiningRough turn outer diameter, thickness, socket bore and bolt holes, leaving allowance for finish machining.

5. Heat TreatmentConduct heat treatment as specified to relieve forging and machining stress and optimize material properties.

6. Finish MachiningPrecision turn sealing face, socket cavity and end face; drill and ream bolt holes to meet tolerance and surface roughness requirements.

7. Non-Destructive TestingCarry out NDT according to standards to detect surface and internal defects such as cracks and inclusions.

8. MarkingStamp marks including specification, pressure class, heat number and material grade on the flange body.

9. Surface TreatmentRemove burrs and oil contamination. Passivation or other protection treatment is available upon request.

10. Final InspectionFull inspection on dimension, appearance and sealing face. Verify documents and generate inspection reports.

11. Packaging & WarehousingProtect sealing faces, pack separately and store by classification.
