Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The nickel-based and cobaltbased super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.

Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solidsolution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.

HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

Paddle blind flange, also known as spade blind or single line blind, is a safety fitting for physical isolation in piping systems. It is a solid disc with an extended handle, installed between two mating flanges.

The solid plate blocks the medium passage to form a reliable metal isolation barrier. The handle extends outside the flange joint, so operators can visually confirm the isolation status and complete installation and removal conveniently. It is usually used together with a matching paddle spacer. The paddle spacer is fitted for normal fluid transmission, and replaced by paddle blind when isolation and maintenance are required.

It provides safer isolation than valves with no risk of internal leakage. It is manufactured to ASME B16.48 standard, available with raised face, ring type joint and other sealing faces for various pressure classes.

Made of nickel alloy, it has excellent corrosion resistance and hightemperature mechanical properties. It is widely applied in oil & gas, chemical, offshore platforms and other working conditions, for temporary positive isolation during pipeline maintenance, hydrostatic testing and plant shutdown.

1. Raw Material InspectionVerify the nickel alloy raw material, carry out visual inspection and non-destructive testing, check the heat number, confirm chemical composition and mechanical properties meet technical requirements, mark and isolate the material.

2. Cutting & BlankingCut the plate according to drawing dimensions with proper machining allowance. Check shape and dimension after cutting, and remove cutting burrs.

3. Forging FormingForm by forging process, control forging temperature and deformation strictly to obtain dense internal structure and eliminate internal defects. Conduct preliminary visual inspection after forming.

4. Heat TreatmentPerform heat treatment in accordance with nickel alloy process specification to relieve forging stress, optimize metallographic structure and stabilize mechanical properties.

5. Rough MachiningRough machine disc outline, sealing face and handle shape by CNC equipment, leave finishing allowance and remove most excess material.

6. Finish MachiningFinish machine sealing face, plate thickness, disc outline and handle. Strictly control flatness, surface roughness and dimensional tolerances to ensure sealing face accuracy complies with standards.

7. Surface TreatmentRemove machining tool marks and oil stains, apply surface protection as required to prevent oxidation and impact damage.

8. Non-Destructive TestingConduct non-destructive testing as per drawing requirements to detect internal and surface defects such as cracks and laminations, and keep complete inspection records.

9. Final Dimensional InspectionRecheck all dimensions including disc outer diameter, thickness, sealing face size and handle dimension, verify item by item against drawings and standards.

10. Marking & StampingStamp specification, pressure class, heat number, material, standard and other information on the designated area of the handle, ensure clear and durable marking.

11. Packaging & WarehousingProtect the sealing face and pack separately to avoid scratch and damage. Attach material certificates and inspection reports, then store in warehouse by classification.
