Stainless steel 304 introduction
Stainless steel is an alloy steel based on iron and chromium, supplemented with alloying elements such as nickel, molybdenum, and manganese. The core principle is that chromium in the steel combines with oxygen to form a dense, stable chromium oxide passivation film on the material surface, isolating it from air and moisture and preventing the steel from rusting and corroding.304 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel and is the most widely used general-purpose stainless steel material.
Wedge Lock Washer Introduction
Our wedge lock washers adopt double-piece split wedge structure. The interlocking inclined teeth create continuous locking tension to stop bolt loosening caused by vibration and impact. Made of stainless steel or high-strength carbon steel, they are reusable, high temperature resistant and widely applied in flange piping, wind power, railway, heavy machinery and engineering fields for reliable fastening.

1.Raw Material Cutting:Adopt high-quality stainless steel coil (304/316) or high-strength carbon steel strip as raw material.Automatic stamping shearing machine cuts the strip into fixed-diameter circular blanks according to different specifications. Remove burrs to ensure consistent blank size and flatness.
2. Precision Stamping & Forming:Progressive die stamping on high-speed punch press:
Punch the inner hole to match the corresponding metric bolt diameter;Stamp the inclined wedge serrations on both surfaces of the washer;Split the single round blank into two independent half-ring split pieces.Strict mold tolerance guarantees the fit angle of wedge teeth for locking performance.
3. Deburring & Surface Polishing:Vibratory grinding or centrifugal polishing to eliminate sharp edges, stamping burrs and tiny metal flashes;Smooth surface avoids scratching bolt threads and installation mating surfaces.
4. Heat Treatment (for Carbon Steel Version):Carbon steel wedge lock washers go through quenching and tempering:
Improve hardness, yield strength and fatigue resistance;Prevent deformation under heavy load and repeated locking force;
Stainless steel products skip heat treatment to retain corrosion resistance.
5. Surface Anti-Corrosion Treatment:Carbon steel: Zinc plating / hot-dip galvanizing / black oxide coating for rust prevention;Stainless steel: Passivation treatment to enhance anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion ability, extend service life in humid and chemical environments.
6. Size Inspection & Quality Testing:Dimensional inspection: Inner diameter, outer diameter, thickness, wedge tooth angle measured by calipers and projectors;Hardness test: Verify mechanical property after heat treatment;Assembly test: Check two pieces interlocking tightness and sliding wedge angle;Vibration loosening simulation test to confirm anti-loosening effect.
