Copper Alloy 12200 introduction
UNS numbers C10100 to C13000 represent commercially pure copper. The high electrical and thermal conductivity in addition to good corrosion resistance determine the use of pure copper. Alloying of copper interferes with the electrical conductivity of the metal which signifies the importance of its purity. Behavior of different grades of unalloyed copper varies in the amount of impurities present in the metal.

Copper Strip Product Processing
1.Raw Material Melting & Casting: Adopt high-purity cathode copper as raw material, add trace phosphorus for deoxidation to produce C12200 TP2 copper ingots.Continuous casting to form thick copper slabs, control internal porosity and impurity content strictly to guarantee base material purity (Cu≥99.90%, P:0.015–0.040%).
2. Hot Rolling:Heat the copper slab to high temperature, carry out multi-pass hot rough rolling to roll the ingot into thick copper coil with uniform thickness.Purpose: Eliminate internal casting stress, improve material compactness and initial ductility.
3. Surface Milling & Descaling:Mill both upper and lower surfaces of hot rolled coil to remove oxide layer, burrs and surface defects, ensure flat and clean base surface for subsequent cold rolling.
4. Cold Rolling (Core Forming Process):Multiple precision cold rolling passes with professional rolling mills, gradually reduce thickness to customer required finished specification (0.05mm–10mm).Control rolling pressure and speed to guarantee uniform thickness tolerance Obtain smooth, mirror-like surface and stable mechanical hardness (soft / half-hard / full hard temper optional).
5. Annealing Stress Relief:Soft temper: Full annealing under inert gas atmosphere, maximize ductility for deep drawing, bending and stamping Hard temper: Low-temperature stress relief only, keep high tensile strength for conductive shrapnel and spring parts.
6. Precision Slitting & Cutting:Slit the wide master coil into narrow strips according to customer required width with high-precision slitter machine, clean burr-free edge.Optional: Cut into fixed-length flat sheets or finished short strips.
7. Surface Finishing Treatment (Optional Post-processing):Degreasing & cleaning: Remove rolling oil, fingerprint and stains Bright polishing: Enhance surface gloss and oxidation resistance.Plating: Tin plating / nickel plating / silver plating for better anti-oxidation and soldering performance.Anti-tarnish passivation: Extend shelf life in humid environment.
8. Inspection, Winding & Packaging:Full inspection: Thickness, width, flatness, surface appearance, hardness, conductivity and spectrometer composition test(C12200 material verification)Rewind into compact rolls with paper core
Anti-rust paper + plastic film + wooden case export packaging, prevent oxidation and deformation during long-distance sea/land transportation.
