S32205 introduction
Duplex 2205 stainless steel (both ferritic and austenitic) is used extensively in applications that require good corrosion
resistance and strength. The S31803 grade stainless steel has undergone a number of modifications resulting in UNS S32205, and was endorsed in the year 1996. This grade offers higher resistance to corrosion.At temperatures above 300°C, the brittle micro-constituents of this grade undergo precipitation, and at temperatures below -50°C the micro-constituents undergo ductile-to-brittle transition; hence this grade of stainless steel is not suitable for use at these
temperatures.

1.Raw Material Inspection:Solid steel billets are strictly inspected for chemical composition and surface quality before
production.

2.Heating:The steel billet is heated to required temperature in rotary hearth furnace.
3.Piercing:Hot billet is pierced by piercing mill to form hollow tube shell.
4.Rolling / Elongating:The hollow shell is rolled to achieve target outer diameter and wall thickness.
5.Sizing & Reducing:Adjust tube dimension to meet finished size requirements.
6.Cooling:Tubes are cooled down to room temperature.
7.Straightening:Straighten bent tubes to guarantee straightness.
8.Cutting to Length:Cut tubes into required finished lengths.
9.Heat Treatment:Normalizing, quenching and tempering according to material standards, to improve mechanical properties.
10.Inspection & Testing:Carry out visual inspection, dimension check, UT ultrasonic test, hydraulic pressure test.
Marking & Packaging:Mark grade, standard, size, heat number, then pack for shipment.
