.Raw Material InspectionRaw materials such as carbon steel, stainless‑steel or alloy steel ingots are received first. Each batch is inspected for chemical composition, hardness and surface defects. Material test reports are available to confirm the raw material meets required standards before casting. Unqualified materials will be rejected directly to prevent quality problems in subsequent procedures.
.Mold MakingAccording to the tee drawing dimensions, professional casting molds are manufactured. Strict tolerance control is carried out for three socket‑weld ports, inner cavity and outer profile. The mold precision directly guarantees the dimensional accuracy of socket depth, wall thickness and branch angle of finished tees.
.Precision CastingMolten metal is poured into the pre‑prepared mold cavity. The one‑piece forming process ensures an integrated tee body without splicing seams. Cooling speed is well controlled to reduce internal shrinkage, porosity and crack defects, which is essential for high‑pressure pipeline service.
.Fettling & Rough MachiningAfter demolding, sprues, runners and excess casting flashes are cut off. Workers remove surface burrs and sand the main body. Preliminary machining is performed to reserve machining allowance for socket weld ends.
.Finishing MachiningPrecision CNC machining is carried out on three socket ends. Socket depth, bore size, wall thickness and end faces are machined strictly in accordance with ASME B16.11. Thread‑free socket inner surface is finished to guarantee good fit when inserting pipes.
.Surface TreatmentProducts can be supplied with black paint, anti‑rust oil, galvanizing or shot‑blasting treatment. Surface treatment effectively removes casting scale, improves corrosion resistance and satisfies different client requirements.
.Quality InspectionEach batch undergoes full visual inspection, dimensional measurement, wall‑thickness checking. Additional tests such as hydraulic test, magnetic particle test or UT non‑destructive testing can be arranged on request to find hidden defects. Non‑conforming parts are separated and scrapped.
.Packing & ShipmentQualified cast socket weld equal tees are protected with anti‑rust measures, packed in wooden cases. Markings including size, material grade and standard are printed clearly on packages to avoid confusion during sea transport.
