Alloy 20 Introduction
Alloy 20 is an austenitic stainless steel containing less than 50% iron and is used in applications involving sulfuric acid. Its
corrosion resistance also finds other applications in the chemical, petrochemical, power generation, and plastics industries.Alloy 20 exhibits superior resistance to pitting and chloride ion corrosion compared to 304 stainless steel and is comparable to316L stainless steel. Its copper content protects it from sulfuric acid. Alloy 20 is typically selected to address the potentialstress corrosion cracking issues of 316L stainless steel.

Socket Welding Latrolet is a high-pressure forged reinforced branch pipe fitting with a 45° oblique outlet structure. Different from vertical branch olets, it is designed for angled branch tapping on main pipelines. Adopting socket welding structure at the branch end, it realizes firm and sealed socket connection with branch pipes. Equipped with an integrally forged saddle base and reinforced body, the fitting effectively strengthens the oblique branching position, avoiding stress concentration and ensuring safe and stable operation under high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions. Manufactured from high-quality carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel complying with ASTM A182 standards, it features high structural rigidity and excellent welding performance. It is widely used in petroleum, natural gas, chemical, power and nuclear energy industries for special-angle branch connections, instrument installation and pipeline shunting of industrial piping systems.

1.Raw Material Inspection & Blanking:
Adopt high-quality carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel bars that comply with ASTM A182 industrial standards. Strictly inspect chemical composition, mechanical properties and surface quality to exclude cracks, inclusions and other defects. Qualified raw materials are precisely cut into fixed-length blanks for forging processing.

The qualified blanks are heated to standard forging temperature with precise temperature control. Integral closed-die forging is adopted to form the saddle base, reinforced body and 45° oblique socket welding outlet.The forged workpiece features dense internal grain structure, uniform wall thickness and stable integral reinforcement performance.

Remove forging flashes and redundant materials, and perform precision straightening to eliminate forming deformation. Conduct professional heat treatment including stress relief annealing for carbon steel and solution treatment for stainless steel, effectively eliminating residual forging stress and improving overall mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.

Precisely machine the saddle surface to perfectly fit the outer curvature of the main pipe. Finish the 45° oblique branch cavity, and process standard socket welding grooves and inner holes to ensure accurate dimensional tolerance, meeting industrial socket welding assembly requirements.
5.Surface Finishing & Quality Testing:
Clean internal and external burrs, oxide scales and surface stains. Carry out full dimensional inspection including oblique angle and wall thickness, visual inspection and nondestructive testing to ensure all technical indicators and structural performance meet high-pressure piping standards.
