Product Description
Alloy 718 Introduction
Alloy 718/2.4668 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with niobium and molybdenum and low contained aluminum and tnum. Excellent mechanical properties in lower temperatures. Excellent corrosion resistance at high and low temperatures Inconel 718 is a nickel-based super alloy that is well suited for applications requiring high strength in temperature ranges from cryogenic up to 1400°F. Inconel 718 also exhibits excellent tensile and impact strength.
Butt Welding Latrolet/Elbolet Introduction
1.Product Definition:
Latrolet and Elbolet are forged integral reinforcing branch fittings, manufactured in accordance with MSS SP-97 and GB/T 19326 standards. A Latrolet is mounted on straight pipe for 45° angled branch connection. An Elbolet is specially designed to be welded onto the body of a 90° elbow. Both types are butt-weld end prepared for butt welding with branch pipes.
2.Structural Features:
They are one-piece forged components. The curved base closely fits the outer contour of the host pipe or elbow. Standard welding bevel is machined on the branch end. The forged dense metal structure delivers better pressure resistance and fatigue performance compared with reinforced plates fabricated on site.
3.Application Scenarios:
Widely used in high-pressure piping systems of petroleum, chemical and power industries for high temperature and high pressure service. Available materials include A105 carbon steel, 304 / 316L stainless steel, F11 / F22 alloy steel. Pressure classes cover 3000LB and 6000LB. Common uses include process branch, sampling and vent connections.
4.Installation Method:
The base is attached to the host pipe or elbow by continuous fillet weld. The top bevel end is aligned and butt-welded to the branch pipe. The integral reinforcement reduces stress concentration at the opening of the host pipe, lowering cracking risk. It is easier for field installation than tee fittings and reinforcement plates.

1.Raw Material Inspection
Inconel 718 alloy bars or forgings are incoming inspected. Chemical composition, mechanical properties and ultrasonic testing are carried out to verify compliance with ASTM B637 requirements. Unqualified raw materials will be rejected before production.

2.Rough Forging & Shaping
The 718 billet is heated and forged into near-net-shape blanks. Forging parameters are strictly controlled to refine grain
structure, eliminate internal porosity and segregation, ensuring the high-temperature strength and fatigue resistance of Latrolet and Elbolet.

3.Heat Treatment
Solution annealing and aging heat treatment are performed on forged blanks. This process optimizes the metallographic structure of Inconel 718, achieving specified hardness, tensile strength and corrosion resistance for high-pressure piping service.

4.PrecisionMachining
CNC turning and milling are used to machine the blank. The curved saddle base, branch bore and butt-welding bevel are precisely processed to match the outer diameter of host pipe or elbow. Marking of material grade, heat number and size is engraved on the body.

5.Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Machined parts undergo visual inspection, liquid penetrant testing (PT) and ultrasonic testing (UT) to detect surface and
subsurface defects. All NDT works follow MSS SP-97 standard to guarantee the integrity of the branch fittings.

6.Final Inspection & Packaging
Dimensional check, surface finish verification and documentation review are completed. Qualified 718 Latrolet and Elbolet are cleaned, protected and packed, with test certificates attached for delivery.
