Socket Welding Latrolet/Elbolet Introduction
1.Product Definition:
Socket Welding Latrolet and Elbolet are forged branch connection fittings manufactured to MSS SP-97 standard. The Latrolet is designed to weld onto straight pipes, while the Elbolet fits on 90° elbows. Their branch outlet adopts socket weld end for inserting and welding branch pipes.
2.Structural Characteristics:
Adopted one-piece forged construction with dense and uniform grain structure. The curved saddle base closely matches the outer surface of host pipe or elbow. The socket bore is precision machined to accommodate branch pipe ends, ensuring accurate alignment and high connection strength without extra reinforcement plates.
3.Application Scope:
They are widely used in high-pressure piping systems of petroleum, chemical, power and natural gas industries. Available materials include carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel. Ideal for instrument tapping, sampling and small-bore branch take-off points.

1.Raw Material Receiving & Inspection:
Round bars or forging blanks are inspected upon arrival. We verify chemical composition, mechanical properties and perform ultrasonic testing to detect internal defects. Only materials complying with relevant standards can enter production.
2.Hot Forging to Form Blank:
Qualified raw material is heated to specified temperature and forged into integrated Latrolet and Elbolet blanks. Forging
eliminates internal voids and refines grain structure, improving mechanical strength and pressure resistance.
3.Heat Treatment:
Forged blanks are processed with normalized, quenched and tempered heat treatment according to material grade. This step relieves forging stress, stabilizes metallographic structure and achieves required hardness and toughness for high-pressure service.

All finished fittings go through visual inspection, PT and UT non-destructive testing. Qualified parts are cleaned to remove
machining residues. Material test certificates are prepared, and products are protected and packed for shipment.
