Adopt C28000 (CuZn40) brass coil / brass sheet as raw material. Verify the material certificate, chemical composition and mechanical properties. Conduct on-site spectrum analysis to confirm alloy composition conforms to C28000 standard. Check sheet thickness uniformity, and visually inspect the surface for scratches, oxidation spots, cracks, pits and folding defects. Unqualified materials will be segregated and returned; only qualified brass stock can enter the stamping procedure.
2.Stamping & Blanking:
Fix the calibrated high-precision stamping die on the high-speed punch press. Feed the qualified brass sheet or coil into the stamping station continuously. Complete one-step blanking and punching to form flat washer blanks, strictly controlling inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness tolerance according to DIN125 or customer drawing requirements. Adjust stamping speed and pressure properly to prevent workpiece deformation, warping and tearing. Regularly check die wear during mass production to guarantee dimensional consistency.
3.Deburring & Edge Finishing:
Collect stamped washer blanks and put them into the vibratory finishing machine with ceramic abrasive media for tumbling deburring. Remove sharp cutting burrs, flash and micro irregular edges generated in stamping. Control the tumbling time to avoid excessive material loss and size deviation. After tumbling, separate washers from abrasives through screening, and spot-check edge smoothness to ensure no sharp edges that may scratch mating surfaces during assembly.
4.Heat Treatment (Annealing):
For washers requiring high ductility, carry out low-temperature stress relief annealing. Place washers in the protective atmosphere furnace, heat to the specified temperature and hold for proper time to eliminate stamping residual stress, improve brass plasticity and avoid later deformation. Slow cooling is adopted to prevent surface discoloration. Random sampling for hardness test after annealing to meet the required hardness range.
5.Ultrasonic Cleaning & Surface Treatment:
Put the deburred washers into ultrasonic cleaning tank with alkaline degreasing agent to remove stamping oil, metal dust and dirt on the surface. Then rinse fully with clean water and dry with hot air to avoid water stains and brass oxidation. If required, anti-tarnish passivation treatment can be applied to form a thin protective film on the brass surface, slowing down surface discoloration and improving corrosion resistance. Full visual surface inspection is carried out after drying.
6.Final Inspection & Packaging:
Carry out batch inspection. Use micrometer and caliper to detect outer diameter, inner diameter and thickness; check flatness and surface condition one by one. Mark batch number, material grade and specification as required. Sort out defective products for rework or scrapping. Pack qualified C28000 brass flat washers into anti-static plastic bags, add desiccant to prevent oxidation, then put into cartons with shipping marks and labels for warehouse storage and delivery.
