Alloy C-276 introduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include ironbased, cobaltbased and nickelbased alloys. The nickelbased and cobaltbased super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.
Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solidsolution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.
HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.
Butt Welding Olet Introduction
It is designed to create branch takeoffs from the main pipe. Compared with conventional tee plus reinforcement pad solutions, its builtin integral reinforcement reduces stress concentration at the pipe opening. The full penetration butt weld is easy for non-destructive examination and provides excellent sealing performance.
This fitting complies with MSS SP97 and GB/T 19326 standards, available in various pressure classes and wall thickness schedules. It is suitable for high temperature, high pressure and corrosive service conditions, and widely used in chemical, oil & gas, power and other process piping systems.
Butt Welding Olet Produce Processing
1.Raw Material Inspection: Verify nickel alloy raw material, carry out visual and non-destructive test to confirm no internal defects.
2.Cutting: Cut billets according to drawing dimensions, control weight and machining allowance.
3.Heating and Forging: Heat billet to forging temperature, hot forge in dies to form the basic shape of branch outlet.
4.Heat Treatment: Conduct heat treatment as specified to relieve forging stress and improve mechanical properties.
5.Shot Blasting: Remove scale and surface contaminants by shot blasting.
6.Rough Machining: Rough turn outer profile, bore and saddle surface on CNC lathe, leave finish allowance.
7.Finish Machining: Precisely machine saddle contour, bore and butt weld bevel to meet dimensional tolerance and standard requirements.
8.Marking: Stamp size, pressure class, heat number and standard information on the fitting body.
9.Final Inspection: Recheck dimensions and appearance, perform UT, PT or other NDT as project required.
10.Surface Protection: Remove grease and apply anti-rust treatment if needed.
11.Packaging and Warehousing: Pack qualified products properly and store in warehouse for delivery.
