Alloy C-276 introduction
Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include ironbased, cobaltbased and nickelbased alloys. The nickelbased and cobaltbased super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.
Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solidsolution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.
HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

Manufactured in accordance with international piping standards, it supports multiple sealing face types including raised face, male & female face, ring joint face to match differe
nt sealing requirements. The bore of the hub aligns with pipe inner diameter, providing a smooth flow path and minimizing turbulence and erosion.
This product is made of nickel alloy with outstanding corrosion resistance. It is suitable for pipelines carrying corrosive, flammable, explosive and highvalue media. It is widely used in chemical, oil & gas, power, shipbuilding and other severe service piping systems, mainly for critical pipeline joints under high temperature, high pressure or long-term continuous operation.
Weld Neck Flanges Produce Processing
1.Raw Material Inspection and Cutting
After nickel alloy bars arrive, material certificates are verified and physical & chemical retests are carried out. Qualified billets are sawn to required length, end burrs removed and heat numbers transferred.
2.Billet Heating
Billet is loaded into furnace, heated and soaked following nickel alloy thermal schedule. Forging temperature range is controlled to prevent overheating and burning.
3.Forging Forming
Closed die forging is applied on hot billet by forging press to form rough shape of flange disc, tapered hub and central bore, maintaining continuous metal grain flow.
4.Heat Treatment
Forged blanks are treated with solution annealing or stress relief to remove forging residual stress and adjust microstructure for required mechanical properties.
5.Rough Machining
CNC lathe rough turns the blank with finish allowance reserved for outer diameter, sealing face, bore and tapered hub.
6.Non-Destructive Testing
NDT inspection including UT and PT is performed to detect internal and surface forging defects such as cracks and laminations.
7.Finish Machining
Precision CNC turning for all dimensions, serrated sealing face machining and bolt hole drilling. Tolerances of flange thickness, bolt circle and hub taper are strictly controlled.
8.Dimension and Sealing Face Inspection
Full dimensional check, roughness and flatness test of gasket seating surface.
9.Marking and Stamping
Traceability marks including size, pressure class, heat number, material and standard are stamped on flange outer circle.
10.Surface Treatment
Sand blasting to remove scale, protective coating applied if specified by order.
11.Final Inspection, Packing and Storage
Final acceptance check, protective packing for qualified products and warehousing.
