Stainless steel grade UNS S20910 XM-19 can be formed using the same methods applied for other austenitic stainless steels. More power for forming and forging is needed for this alloy. Forging can be done at 1177-1204°C (2150-2200°F).

Product processing
1. Raw Material Selection: Select high-quality metal alloys, such as carbon steel (e.g., ASTM A105), stainless steel (e.g., F304, F316), or nickel alloys, and test their chemical and mechanical properties.
2. Heating: Heat the raw materials in a furnace (alloy steels are typically heated to above 1200°C) until they become ductile.
3. Forging: Shape the heated metal using a mechanical press or hammer (closed-die forging or open-die forging). This process improves the grain structure and significantly increases the strength of the parts, compared to castings.
4. Heat Treatment: Forgings undergo normalizing, quenching, and tempering processes,to refine the grain structure and achieve the required hardness and toughness.
5. Machining and Threading:Trimming: Remove excess material (flash) using a saw or grinding wheel.
6.Turning and Boring: The connector is machined on a lathe to meet the precise dimensional requirements of MsS SP-9
7.Threading: Internal threads (typically NPT conforming to ASME B1.20.1) are machined at the internal outlet for branch pipe connection.6. Inspection and Testing: The finished outlet undergoes dimensional inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT), such as ultrasonic or magnetic particle testing, to detect any internal defects.
